Description: Lapacho is one of the most dense, durable, and hardest exotic woods. The sapwood ranges from a white to yellow color while the heartwood ranges from an olive brown to black color that may have some streaking in it. Over time, the colors will come together and form a more uniform appearance. The grain patterns range from uniform and straight to an irregular pattern. This wood also has an oily appearance. Lapacho is a great choice for wood that is able to resist moisture, traffic wear, and denting.
